Emberline Relay

Emberline Relay follows a communications failure across country already shaped by earlier fires. A replacement radio must reach an isolated lookout before a dry-lightning front and a dangerous wind shift. Electro-industrial breaks provide the physical drive, but the record's voice comes from kaval, tapan, low brass, and bowed strings—breath, skin, metal, and wood moving through smoke. The reward arrives as information rather than spectacle: coordinates transmitted in time, a narrow backburn window used well, and green rain beginning over ash.
