The Floodplain Gambit

The Floodplain Gambit turns hydrology into a sequence of choices. Survey stakes vanish, the village gauge climbs, a crossing becomes unsafe, and the abandoned gatehouse is already taking water. Reopening the old spillway may protect the town but could sacrifice the wetland downstream. Deep UK garage and broken beat give the operation restless momentum; kora, ngoni, balafon, and calabash percussion trace the river's living complexity. The final reward is a third route discovered under pressure: new channels that spare both communities and habitat.
